About ASPROS

ASPROS(Autonomous SPacecraft and RObotic Systems) 연구실은 연세대학교 항공우주공학과/인공위성시스템학과 소속으로, 조한철 교수가 설립하고 이끌고 있습니다. ASPROS는 위성 궤도/자세 결정 및 제어, 위성 편대비행, 궤도상 서비스, 우주쓰레기 제거, 우주 기반 우주 감시, 화성 EDL(Entry, Descent, and Landing) 연구 등 다양한 우주공학 분야에 대한 연구 및 기술개발을 수행하고 있습니다.

같은 학과의 박상영 교수의 ACL(Astrodynamics Control Laboratory)과 함께 저비용 큐브위성을 자체 설계, 개발, 제작, 테스트, 발사, 운용까지 수행함으로써, 이론과 실제의 균형을 추구하고 대한민국 우주공학을 선도하고 있습니다. 또한, ASPROS는 미국, 캐나다, 일본 등 다양한 국제적 협력을 통해 새로운 기술 개발과 실증을 위해 노력하고 있습니다.

The ASPROS (Autonomous SPacecraft and RObotic Systems) Laboratory is part of the Departments of Aeronautics and Astronautics / Satellite Systems at Yonsei University, founded and led by Dr. Hancheol Cho. ASPROS conducts research and technology development in various fields of space engineering, including satellite orbit/attitude determination and control, satellite formation flying, on-orbit servicing, space debris removal, space-based space surveillance, and Mars EDL(Entry, Descent, and Landing) studies.

In collaboration with Professor Sang-Young Park’s ACL(Astrodynamics Control Laboratory) in the same department, ASPROS members design, develop, manufacture, test, launch, and operate low-cost CubeSats, thereby pursuing a balance between theory and practice while leading space engineering in Korea. Furthermore, ASPROS strives for groundbreaking advancements and demonstrations of new technologies through diverse international collaborations with countries such as the United States, Canada, and Japan.
